Educational institution owners (I.e. School administrators) can create and remove classrooms, as well as assign educators and learners to the said classrooms.
To manage the different classes of a school, access the Classes tab of the organisation page.
Only users that are part of the organisation can be assigned to a class, and they should have assigned the corresponding role. I.e. It is not possible to assign a student as a teacher to one class.
The school organisation owner is able to view all the classes they’ve created in this section, while teachers and LSEs are only able to view the class or classes assigned to them. The owner can create classes by clicking the plus sign on the top right corner. By pressing the three vertical dots near each class, owners can edit and assign roles to users who have been invited in the organisation.
Create classroom
From the Classes tab, click in the cross button in the top right. Define the name of this classroom so to identify it among others and press Create. Name must be unique within the school.
Assign teachers and students
Classes are the link between teachers and students. In order to give access to teachers to their students list add them both to the class. Only users which are already part of the organization can be added. You can learn how to invite users to the organisation on the article: How educational institutions users are managed.
Teachers can be chosen from the previously assigned roles upon invitation. Typing a few letters of the required name drops a menu from which teachers can be assigned.
Students, on the other hand, are added via a check system, choosing from the invited names and email addresses.
Teachers do not add their classes of students themselves, neither can they add or remove students from their class. Only the owner of the school organisation has this access.
